The laptop fan choked to death on a hairball (again) and as a result, I'm once again behind on blogging. But this story was way too funny not to share, so here it is.
Gabe was off school last Friday for a teacher work day. So when I left on Friday morning to take Timothy to school and go to work, I had both kids and was rushing to get out the door on time. As I got ready, I was quizzing Gabe to make sure all his chores had been done. I asked him if he fed the strays. Yep. I asked if he'd turned the light on in his aquarium. Yep. I asked if he'd turned off the lava lamp in his room. He replied, "Oh, I don't sleep with that on anymore!" This surprised me, since he's slept with it on for a long time. "Is the light bulb blown out?" I asked. "No," he replied, "but I heard on 740 KRMG that if you sleep with a bright light on in your room, you're more likely to lose your hair."
At this point, I burst out laughing. I couldn't help it. This annoyed my eldest child very much. "MAMA, THIS IS SERIOUS!! I don't want to be BALD!!!" he shouted. I can't say that I completely stopped laughing, but I tried really, really hard! Nine years old and already worried about male pattern baldness!

If only Joe Kelley knew this kid!!! Gabe would probably already have a job at KRMG.
huh? Is that really Joe Kelley? I don't understand. How'd he find your blog?
Dre, it does appear to be really Joe Kelley, and I have no idea how he found my blog, but it sure makes me laugh that he did!
You are famous!! Your funny story just gets funnier! :)
It's really me.
:)
I'd be happy to give Gabe a tour of the studios if he wishes.
